Project Overview:

Gable is an interactive application that allows people to connect more meaningfully with the cities around them through the lens of architecture. The audience—Millennials who enjoy traveling to or living in cities—can learn through exploration, bringing business to local establishments and cultural institutions along the way. The branding system needed to be flexible, scaling from a fourteen-foot billboard to a standard phone screen.

The Gable application is the primary place of interaction. It acts as a digital docent, assisting users as they explore their physical environment. Illustration, color, and clear typographic hierarchy are utilized to create a seamless user experience and bring attention to architectural details.
Through Gable, I learned how to transform a lofty idea into a tangible product. Considering the practical realities of an application like Gable allowed me to see its limitations, which ultimately led to creative solutions. By using a business framework as a prototyping tool, I developed a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also holds the potential to profit.
